Description
These beautifully made cocowood soap dishes are made in Zanzibar by ScanZa, who specialise in the manufacture of high quality furniture, fixtures and fittings, using locally sourced Cocowood and other hardwoods. ScanZa uses timber from the senile (unproductive) African Tall Palms from the plantations on the island, as well as from trees that are being felled to make way for developments and infrastructure.
The ridges help water to drain, so as to make the soap last longer. The dishes are lightly lacquered for durability

I love the feel and quality of these cocowood racks, if only one side was slightly taller so water ran away from them and drained directly into the sink they’d be perfect…

Beautiful sturdy soap dish, the cocowood is gorgeous with unique pattern and shades. If the grooves were higher on one side rather than horizontal so the water drained away they’d be perfect… they still keep the soap dry and look and feel wonderful.
