For over four generations, the Fabre family has crafted Marseille soap using only vegetable oils. This natural soap contains no colorings, synthetic additives, petroleum-based products, or animal fats.
The traditional Marseille process ensures “Extra Pure” soap, gentle for all skin types, including sensitive skin (such as for babies or those with allergies). Enriched with olive oil, Marius Fabre olive oil Marseille soap helps maintain natural skin moisture.
Biodegradable and free of phosphates and additives, Marius Fabre soap is environmentally friendly and minimizes river pollution. With minimal packaging and lasting durability, it is a sustainable choice.
Marseille soap can also be used to wash dishes. The Sodium Cocoate is an effective degreaser. Lather the sponge with the soap and use hot water (short video here) . Not suitable for use in hardwater areas as it can leave a waxy residue. You can pair this with a natural and ecofriendly scourer.
Made without palm oil, Marius Fabre soap meets the three criteria of the Union des Professionnels du Savon de Marseille (UPSM):
- Composition – 100% vegetable oils, no fragrance, colorings, or preservatives
- Manufacturing Process – Cooked in cauldrons for about 10 days, following the traditional “Marseille Process”
- Geographical Origin – Produced in the historic Marseille region, specifically the Bouches-du-Rhone department
Ingredients: Sodium Olivate (from olive oil), Sodium Cocoate (from Coconut oil); minor inclusion of aqua, glycerine (naturally occurring), Sodium Chloride (salt), Sodium Hydroxide (for the saponification)
