Description
These beautiful cocowood soap dishes are hand made in Zanzibar. The wood is handcrafted from the tree trunks (not the coconut shells) of unproductive African Tall Palms from the plantations on the island, as well as from trees that are being felled to make way for developments and infrastructure.
The dishes have sharp ridges which allows the water to drain away from the soap, helping your soap last longer. The wood is a hardwood which is lightly lacquered to make it waterproof. The dishes are available individually or as part of a gift pack.
Due to difficulties in shipping from Zanzibar, I only have a small quantity of these available for sale in the UK and won’t be restocking any time soon. To my knowledge, they are unique to the UK.
The square soap dish measures 9x9cm and the round is 8cm diameter.
Lovely products and a lovely company. I happened to purchase the soap over eBay and the soap dish through their website, they spotted my blunder and were kind enough to ship them together.
Aleppo soap has been such a game changer I almost want to keep it a secret! Really good on my combination/sensitive skin. I use it on my face (with rose water as a toner), with a piece of loofah for exfoliating and for shaving. Feels like it leaves a film of oil on the skin, only for the skin to absorb it, not drying at all. I still get the occasional blemish but they are smaller and heal quicker. I know it sounds too good to be true, but if you’ve tried ‘everything else’ it’s worth giving this a chance. Everything else looks like a waste of money to me now.
The soap dish really is lovely too, sure you could buy another, but I am really pleased with it.
